News - $35k Raised for Cancer Society and Community Foundation

Nearly 600 guests joined together on October 20 for this year’s Bull Roast, sharing the great food and lots of fun. More than $35,000 was raised with the support of our sponsors, ticket sales and event activities. The net proceeds will support the American Cancer Society through the Chaney Foundation Bull Roast Fund. Established in the memory of Eugene Chaney, Sr. and Richard Chaney, Sr., the fund is a component fund of the Community Foundation of Charles County (CFCC), a 501(c)(3) public charity.

Special recognition goes to this year’s sponsors: $1,000 Burger Lover Sponsors Aaron’s Concrete Pumping, La Farge Cement Division and TD Bank; and the $500 Smokehouse Sponsors Bedrock Foundations, Construction Risk Solutions, Quality Built Homes, College of Southern Maryland, Brooks Run Builders, Holcim (US) and Fleet Pro.
