News - Pervious Concrete Training Day in Waldorf, MD

May 20^th there is a Pervious Concrete training day with AIA and PDH credit classes, ASTM testing demonstration, placement demonstration and the NRMCA Pervious Concrete certification. Seating is limited, so see below registration details. Note to testing companies, the two ASTM tests that will be demonstrated will require technicians to have both the ACI Field Technician and NRMCA Pervious Technician certification.

o   9:00am Registration

o   9:30 Pervious Concrete Paving Seminar and Q&A – Provides AIA credits and RCEP Professional Development Hours

o   11:00 Instruction in ASTM C1701 Standard Test Method for Infiltration Rate of In Place Pervious Concrete

o   11:30 - Placement Demonstration

•                    working lunch provided at the Concrete Store outdoor kitchen (1 hour)

•                    Instruction in ASTM C1688 Standard Test Method for Density and Void Content of Freshly Mixed Pervious Concrete

•                    Place, Finish and Cure a Pervious Concrete Slab

o   12:30 Review for NRMCA Pervious Technician Certification

o   2:30 Written Exam for NRMCA Pervious Technician Certification (This is the minimum certification required for contractors placing Pervious Concrete and one of the certifications required for testing Pervious Concrete. Additional cost and registration required through MRMCA at MarylandConcrete.com )
