Flexx-Block® Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF)
Chaney Enterprises would like to introduce our newest energy efficient line of building materials, Flexx-Block® Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) from Lite Form Technologies. Concrete is poured into the center of these hollow forms, which stay in place even after the concrete has cured to provide extra insulation.
The solid concrete walls provide a superior barrier to sound pollution and will resist 200mph deadly winds and debris. Flexx-Block® creates the same flat, monolithic concrete walls as conventional, removable forms. They require no special structural engineering or design changes. A full range of interior/exterior finishes mean that homeowners can choose from any architectural or period styling. The streamlined set-up and bracing allow an experienced crew to build and finish structures in less time than most other building systems.
Typically a home built with Flexx-Block will cost slightly more than a comparable wood-frame home. However, much or all of this cost can be recouped through significantly lower utility and energy bills, insurance savings and downsizing of heating and cooling equipment. The most dramatic homeowner benefit is the insulating value of the high-mass concrete walls combined with the superior performance of the extruded polystyrene insulation.
