Chaney Cares Hosts 27th Annual Chaney Memorial Golf Tournament

On Monday, May 4, the Chaney Cares Foundation welcomed employees, partners, customers, and community supporters to the beautiful Queenstown Harbor Golf Course for the 27th Annual Chaney Memorial Golf Tournament. This long-standing tradition once again brought together our community for a day of friendly competition, connection, and giving back.

This year’s tournament continued to support the Foundation’s capital campaign to bring a new Boys & Girls Club to Lothian, Maryland. The future clubhouse, in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Annapolis & Anne Arundel County, will provide local children and families with a safe and supportive place to learn, grow, and thrive for generations to come.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, players, volunteers, and supporters, this year’s event raised more than $160,000 in support of the project, making a meaningful impact for the children and families who will benefit from the future clubhouse. Additionally, a generous $250,000 matching campaign by the Deerbrook Fund was announced during the reception. Any contributions made to the Lothian Club Fund at CFAAC will be eligible for the matching campaign.

The future Boys & Girls Club in Lothian will create opportunities for so many children and families, and we are proud to help make that vision possible.”

Tournament Highlights

Golfers competed across both the River and Lakes courses, enjoying a day filled with competition, camaraderie, and beautiful weather. Participants also took part in putting contests, closest-to-the-pin challenges, longest drive competitions, and hole-in-one opportunities throughout the course.
