Author: Megan Joy
Chaney Enterprises proudly hosted its annual Virginia Truck Driver Roadeo this past Saturday at the Richmond Flying Squirrels Stadium parking lot, bringing together skilled mixer and dump truck drivers for a day of competition, camaraderie, and family-friendly fun.
The Roadeo showcased the precision, safety, and expertise required of professional drivers, as participants navigated a series of challenges designed to test their knowledge, control, and on-the-job skills. Events like these highlight the critical role our drivers play in delivering quality service every day while reinforcing our commitment to safety and excellence.
In the Mixer Division, Anthony Back earned first place honors with an outstanding performance, followed by Thomas Wood in second place and Samuel Pendleton in third. In the Dump Truck Division, John Sawn secured first place, with Kenneth Pope taking second.
In addition to the top finishers, a huge shoutout to all the drivers who competed and made the day a success: David Dillon, Justin Hawkins, Carlos Palacios, Katrina Duncan, Janeer Ross, Brooks Kelly, Christopher Meeks, Timothy Harris, Richard Cunningham, and Kenneth Conley.
The event was a great success, thanks to the dedication of our drivers, employees, and everyone who helped organize and support the day. The Virginia Truck Driver Roadeo continues to be a valued tradition at Chaney Enterprises, celebrating the talent, teamwork, and passion that drive our organization forward.
