Big Trucks, Bigger Smiles: AACPL’s Touch-a-Truck Event Delights Families

The Anne Arundel County Public Library (AACPL) hosted its highly anticipated Touch-a-Truck event in the former Sears parking lot at Westfield Annapolis Mall. From 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, families gathered to give children a hands-on experience with the large trucks and machines they often see but rarely get to explore up close.

The event featured an impressive lineup of vehicles, including concrete mixers, fire engines, and construction equipment. Chaney Enterprises participated by bringing one of their signature concrete mixer trucks, allowing children to climb aboard, honk the horn, and learn about the machinery.

Touch-a-Truck is part of AACPL’s ongoing efforts to provide engaging, educational experiences for the community. The event was free and open to all ages, making it an accessible and enjoyable outing for families in the area.
