Chaney Cares Celebrates Successful 47th Annual Bull Roast Fundraiser

Chaney Cares celebrated another successful Bull Roast fundraiser on October 24, 2026. 

The 47th annual event, held at Chaney Enterprises’ Waldorf, MD, facility, welcomed more than 850 ticket holders and 83 corporate sponsors, raising $115,000 for Chaney Cares’ nonprofit partners: Boys & Girls Clubs, Farming4Hunger, Habitat for Humanity, and Raising a Reader. 

All funds raised will support the Foundation’s 2026 grant cycle, building foundations for family success across Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., Delaware, and North Carolina. 

Attendees enjoyed pit-roasted ribs hot off the grill, barbecue and homestyle sides from Mission BBQ, freshly shucked oysters from Thompson Seafood, and donuts from Sandy Pony Donuts. 

The fun continued throughout the day with live music from John Luskey and activities for the whole family, including a trucker hat bar, petting zoo, face painting, and pumpkin chuckin’. Guests also browsed the silent auction and participated in gambling, including pull tabs and roulette. 

“Every year, the community shows up for our nonprofit partners, and this year was no exception,” said Francis Hall Chaney III, CEO of Chaney Enterprises. “We’re grateful to everyone who sponsored, volunteered, and showed up to support Chaney Cares and strengthen partnerships that impact local communities.” 

Chaney’s Annual Bull Roast would not be possible without its volunteers. This year, more than 80 employees and community members volunteered their time to assist with registration, cleanup, food service, and more. Their dedication, along with the generosity of corporate sponsors and guests, helps make the Bull Roast possible year after year and strengthens the communities Chaney Cares supports.
