News - Success Continues at Chaney Enterprises 27th Annual Bull Roast

October 7, 2006, despite the chilly weather, Chaney Enterprises American Cancer Society Bull Roast was once again a huge success.

Ticket sales at this year's event were a record breaking $75,325.00! The 840 guests in attendance feasted on tremendous amounts of ribs, oysters, roast-beef and many delicious side items. Guests danced to songs from Juke Box Memories, tried their luck at games of chance including Black Jack, pull tabs, the Big 6 wheel. One lucky winner received $668.00 playing 50/50! Brave guests attempted to ride the Mechanical Bull challenging others to see how long they could hang! The silent auction was also a huge success with many great items to bid on including Redskin's tickets, spa packages, golf packages, fishing gear, and much more. Total proceeds raised at this year's event were over $66,660.00.

Thank you to our community, customers, suppliers and vendors for a great day! Without your contributions to this event our record breaking ticket sales would have not been possible.

Along with ticket sales, volunteers played a tremendous part in this year's success. Volunteers consisted of 92 Chaney Enterprise's employees and their families, six Waldorf Jaycee's Community Center volunteers, and two American Cancer Society Relay for Life team members. Thank you to everyone for donating your time and energy to such a worthwhile event.

Chaney Enterprises is serious about ending the fight against cancer. Once again this Bull Roast fulfilled its goal of demonstrating that helping the community and developing better/stronger relationships will always be a number one goal with Chaney Enterprises.

See you next year at the Bull Roast!
