Chaney's 21st Annual Golf Tournament Raises over $88,000

Despite the challenge of hosting events during the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual Babe and Dick Chaney Memorial Golf Tournament went off without a hitch! The sold-out tournament took place on Monday, July 13 at Renditions Golf Course in Davidsonville, MD. After a great day of golf, sponsors and Chaney employees enjoyed outdoor refreshments as the scorecards were tallied up. Winners were announced via email with a video from Chief Executive Officer, Hall Chaney.

The funds raised from the tournament have historically supported the American Cancer Society, but the new decade brought new passions and projects for the Chaney community. With Southern Maryland being the heart and soul of Chaney Enterprises, the Chaney team announced a new iniative to start a youth community center in Southern Maryland, where some of the schools with the highest numbers of free and reduced lunch programs are located. Over $88,000 was raised this year to help support the new effort and to break the poverty cycle among our Maryland youth.
