Chaney Enterprises Opens New Amelia Concrete Plant in Virginia

Chaney Enterprises, a ready-mix concrete, aggregates, custom blends, and related construction supplies provider, today announced the opening of its Amelia Concrete Plant in Virginia.

The Amelia Concrete Plant, located at 23002 Old River Drive, directly off U.S. Route 360, will create approximately a dozen new jobs. The Amelia plant is Chaney’s fifth concrete plant in the Richmond-Hampton Roads market and eleventh concrete plant in Virginia. The company’s other Southern Virginia concrete plants are located in Ashland, Charles City, Henrico and Prince George.

Chaney’s Amelia concrete plant features modern, sustainable, and community-friendly features such as dust suppression and dust collector equipment, white noise backup signals on all on-site equipment, pH treatment systems, and an all concrete parking and entryway that reduced outdoor lighting needs by 30 percent.

“Adding the Amelia Plant to our network will allow Chaney Enterprises to better service our customers with the commitment and quality they have become accustomed to,” said Francis "Hall" Chaney, III, chief executive officer of Chaney Enterprises.  “The launch of this brand-new concrete plant is a direct result of the passion and determination of our Chaney team, including those employees gained during the acquisition of GreenRock Materials. Virginia’s growing population and expanding economy has increased demand for building materials, making the Amelia Plant a perfect addition to our network.”
