Chaney Aggregates Team Wins MTBMA Safety Awards

Safety Award

Chaney Enterprises, a ready-mix concrete, aggregates, custom blends, and related construction supplies provider, announced that two members of its aggregates team were recognized for their superior safety and accident-free performances at the 5th Annual Safety Awards Banquet sponsored by the Maryland Transportation Builders and Materials Association (MTBMA).

Chaney employees Wayne Hardesty and Kenneth Leifert were each honored with a Contractor Award.  The Contractor Award is for individuals who set a great example as supervisor and cares about their coworkers’ well-being by promoting safety on the job.

The Safety Awards are designed to promote accident prevention and safety in the workplace.  All applicants for the safety award had to have worked at least 1,600 hours during the previous calendar year without any lost time, injuries, or have been involved in any liability on jobsites.
