News - Happy Employees Provide Better Customer Service

The 2013 Alliance for Workplace Excellence Award was given to Chaney Enterprises for the fifth consecutive year, the only company in its industry to be recognized by the Alliance for Workplace Excellence (AWE).

In winning the award, Chaney Enterprises was noted for its innovative corporate culture and management practices, family-friendly policies, comprehensive employee health and wellness initiatives, employee growth and learning opportunities and a commitment to training and education. The AWE also recognized the company’s culture of corporate social responsibility and employee volunteerism.

Applicants undergo a comprehensive evaluation process, with winners demonstrating outstanding commitment to balanced leadership and the overall success of their workforce.

Chaney Enterprises also received the AWE 2013 Health and Wellness Trailblazer Award recognizing employers who provide innovative programs for employee health and wellness. This is the fourth year Chaney Enterprises has received this award.

According to the Alliance, the organization has recognized the Greater Washington area’s best places to work for the past 14 years. The 68 companies recognized this year represent more than 1 million employees of all sizes and in all private, public and nonprofit sectors.
