News - Concrete & Aggregate Calculator Named Top Mobile App with PRSA ‘Best in Maryland’ Award
A smartphone app created by Chaney Enterprises that allows construction managers and specifiers to estimate their concrete, aggregates and masonry needs was recently named the top mobile app by the Maryland chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. The award was presented to Chaney during the annual PRSA “Best in Maryland” awards gala held at the Baltimore Hilton on Dec. 1.
Designed for easy access in the field, the free Chaney app has already been used by thousands of construction professionals across the U.S. who have downloaded the app more than 350,000 times.
“Estimating can be a complex process with a number of variables, so knowing how much product is needed for jobs can go a long way in ordering the right quantities and saving time and expenses,” said Steven Tripp, the Chaney Enterprises marketing manager who oversaw the app’s development.

Also available on the Chaney Enterprises website, the app brings all of the calculators right to a user’s Android or Apple device (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch).

Each calculator provides an exact amount and a recommended order amount to account for waste, spillage, over-excavation, settlement, spreading of forms, loss of entrained air or any other changes in volume. This allows users to consider money-saving options before placing their orders.
