News - Chaney Enterprises Receives Regional ABC Award

The American Builders and Contractors-Chesapeake Shores Chapter awarded its 2010 Excellence in Construction Award to Chaney Enterprises in the residential category last month.

Recognized by ABC Chesapeake Shores Chapter was the new home of Nikema and Tamara Tripp in Hyattsville, MD, constructed for “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” in August 2009. Built over the course of seven days, Chaney Enterprises provided concrete and supplies for the foundation, insulated concrete form, stamped and stained concrete steps and walkways, and a Pervious Concrete patio, which complemented the sloped back yard’s landscaping to eliminate storm water runoff. The home provided an opportunity to display the versatility, function and beauty of concrete today.

The architect for the Tripp home was Scott Sperl, AIA and the general contractor was G&M Contracting. Partnering with Chaney Enterprises on the project were Z Con, Eastern Concrete, Independent Concrete, W.R. Grace, Aaron’s Concrete Pumping, Stone Shooters, Leep Green, Miller & Long and LaFarge.

Chaney Enterprises is on the leading edge of developing, testing and producing high-quality concrete mixes, such as Pervious Concrete and concrete overlays, for customers throughout the region. The company is a major supplier of Insulated Concrete Forms and other building materials and is the One Stop Shop™ for construction materials and supplies. Serving Maryland and neighboring Metropolitan DC since 1962, we strive to provide superior, top-quality products as we employ a combination of land management and environmentally friendly practices unsurpassed in the industry.
