News - Chaney Enterprises Helps Fund Central Air Conditioning to Little Flower School

Through Chaney Enterprises philanthropic organization, the Chaney Foundation, donated to Little Flower School located in Great Mills, MD, to help defray the cost for installing central air condition in the school. The estimated cost of the project is $130,000.

Because of the long standing relationship between Little Flower School and Chaney Enterprises, Bill Childs, President and CEO of Chaney Enterprises, was invited to a fundraising event and ended up purchasing raffle tickets that would benefit the school's fundraising needs. It just so happened, Bill Childs had the winning ticket for $5,000! Instead of keeping the winnings, he knew the money would do more good for the community by giving it back to the school for the much needed central air conditioning installation.

Funds for the project are raised through fundraisers and endowments. Other funds needed for the school will go towards replacing the tile on the cafeteria floor and additional educational material for the students. Local businesses that would like to contribute funds to the school can receive more information by calling Little Flower School at 301-994-0404.

In addition to the $5,000 donation on behalf of the Chaney Foundation and past donations the Foundation has made, Chaney Enterprises also donates material to Little Flower School.

Little Flower School was officially established in 1887 in Great Mills, Maryland. The school community consists of students from four parishes, Holy Face in Great Mills, Immaculate Heart of Mary in Lexington Park, St. George in Valley Lee and St. Nicholas on the Patuxent River Naval Base.
