News - Chaney Enterprises CCO Jan Holt Recognized as Outstanding Woman in the Construction Industry
Jan Holt, chief customer officer (CCO) for Chaney Enterprises, received the 2010 Associated Builders and Contractors Willow Award for Leadership in Construction. Sponsored by Willow Construction, The Willow award recognizes women working in the construction industry for their outstanding work and leadership in the construction business and in their communities.
“Jan brings an enlightened and refreshing approach to our industry, our community and our business,” said William F. Childs IV, president and CEO of Chaney Enterprises. “She came to us with an already successful business career, demonstrating a high degree of professionalism and sharing many innovative ideas to a mature industry.”
Holt was hired as CCO of Chaney Enterprises in January 2009. Since coming on board, she has initiated and facilitated changes in sales strategies and introduced new tools, which have realized a 50 percent improvement in the sales team’s time and support productivity. Holt has long been a leader in the community, and continues to serve many non-profit organizations, including Boys and Girls Clubs of Anne Arundel County, assisting Hospice of the Chesapeake and planning events for Maryland Special Olympics where she established keystone fundraisers and continues to play an active role in these organizations, Additionally, she has provided support to the Johns Hopkins Children’s Cancer Center.
