MMTA Driver of the Month Gene Collins

Chaney Enterprises announced today that Concrete Delivery Professional Gene Collins was named Driver of the Month by the Maryland Motor Truck Association (MMTA).

Collins was recognized for his dedication to safe driving and excellent service and has been with Chaney for 13 years.  Driver of the Month is an award for individuals who have excellent safety records, customer relations, and community involvement, and have gone above and beyond the performance of their duties as a commercial vehicle driver. Honorees distinguished themselves through achievement of safe operation and compliance for an extended period of time, and for their participation in truck driving championships.

MMTA is a non-profit, member-driven trade organization that has been serving Maryland’s commercial trucking industry since 1935.  Today, MMTA is one of the largest trucking associations in the country, representing 1,000-member companies.  Its mission is to support and advocate for a safe, efficient, and profitable trucking industry across all sectors and industry types, regardless of size, domicile, or type of operation.

Collins also received the Chaney Rockstar award in February for his notable work as a mentor.
