News - Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maryland Receives Donation to Assist in Youth Camp

The Chaney Foundation donated to the Southern Maryland Boys & Girls Club new pilot project "Summer Camp 2006" located at C. Paul Barnhart School in Waldorf, MD.

The "Chaney Enterprises Summer Hoops Classic" basketball league will be an additional component to the summer program that would provide youth with a safe, fun and competitive outlet during the summer. As a condition to play, there will be a mandatory Smart Moves (drug and alcohol prevention) session prior to each game.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maryland services more that 1,200 youth in Calvert and St. Mary's Counties, not including youth in the Charles County summer pilot program. The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maryland is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

Additionally the Chaney Foundation support many other area Boys and Girls Clubs Organizations in the areas where Chaney Enterprises conducts business.
