Back to LEED Checklist

The intent of this credit is to further increase water efficiency within buildings to reduce the burden on municipal water supply and wastewater systems. Employ strategies that in aggregate use less water than a typical building. Strategies include using alternate on-site sources of water, such as rainwater and stormwater. Pervious concrete systems in combination with concrete cisterns can be used to fulfill the requirements for this credit. This credit is worth 2, 3 or 4 points for 30%, 35% and 40% reduction of water use from the baseline.
